#LowcountryFirst Pass In Review | March 17, 2023 Coffee With Your Congresswoman in Beaufort! Good afternoon and happy St.Patrick's Day! We had a busy week here in the Lowcountry and we cannot wait to fill you in on what we’ve been up to. Sunday we joined SWSW for a panel on cannabis reform in the U.S. We were joined by Andrew DeAngelo and Rep. Earl Blumenauer for a bipartisan discussion on the different political party proposals in Congress to end federal cannabis prohibition. Tuesday we met with Rolls Royce to discuss their work building motors which support many of the Coast Guard’s ships. Later on Tuesday, we met with the US Coast Guard Base Charleston to see these Rolls Royce motors in action on one of their Hamilton-class cutter ships and discuss their work for the Lowcountry and our nation. We appreciate all their hard work and dedication to serving our country. Wednesday morning we joined Fox and Friends First to discuss the Russian fighter jet collision. America will not be messed with. Period. To watch the full interview, look here. Thursday we held Coffee With Your Congresswoman in Beaufort to celebrate the grand re-opening of our office! We had a fantastic turnout and thank everyone who took time out of their day to come, visit, and ask questions! To stay in the loop for all our events be sure to check out all our social media networks and check your email inbox. Later Thursday we had the chance to present Ambassador Theodore R. Britton Jr. the Order of the Palmetto. Ambassador Britton was born in North Augusta and was one of the first African Americans selected to join the U.S. Marine Corps and served in World War II. He was also our United States Ambassador to Barbados and Grenada. In 2012, he received the Congressional Gold Medal. As always, our office is here to lend a hand whenever we can. As we continue this new year, please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to be heard on any issue at any time. We’re here to help. It’s an immense honor to serve each and every one of you. Have a great weekend. Sincerely, Congresswoman Nancy Mace Visit My Website DISTRICT DOG OF THE WEEK 🐶 This week's District Dog is Scarlett!
