Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi to receive Lifetime Impact Award at the Annual Update
We hope you can join us on Friday, April 14 for the Williams Institute's 22nd Annual Update, our signature event of the year. The Annual Update includes a half-day conference, Gala Awards Reception, and Founders Dinner.
Our Gala Awards Reception will recognize some incredible people this year. The Williams Institute is honored to present Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi with the Lifetime Impact Award in recognition of her decades of leadership working for LGBTQ+ equality, including leading bills that allow LGBTQ people to openly serve in the military, provide justice for LGBTQ victims of hate crimes, and enshrine marriage equality in federal law.
In addition, we will be celebrating the trailblazing researcher Jessica Xavier, whose work launched community-based transgender research, and Latham & Watkins, LLC, for their consistent support of the Williams Institute—and of the legal rights of LGBTQ people more broadly.
