Are you a grad student interested in attending the 2023 NIJ National Research Conference? NIJ is funding travel and lodging for 25 grad students. Submit a travel scholarship application by March 20, 2023 to be considered.
The theme of NIJ’s Research Conference is “Evidence to Action,” and our goal is to bring researchers and practitioners together to learn about the latest research evidence and how it can be implemented to promote safety, equity, and justice for all. The conference offers attendees an opportunity to learn about research findings across a wide array of topics relating to public safety and justice system policies and practices.
NIJ encourages applications from students of all backgrounds. Those submitting applications for consideration should make note of the following:
-
Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate level program at the time of receipt of the travel scholarship.
-
NIJ will support the travel costs for up to 25 students, including air and ground transportation, a three-night hotel stay, and federal per diem.
-
Scholarship recipients are expected to attend the entire conference.
-
Students are required to submit an application, a biographical sketch, and a brief statement of interest for attending the conference.
-
General registration for the conference is now closed, but 25 slots are reserved for grad students.
Applications are due by Monday March 20, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
