john,
So far in 2023, there have been more than 110 mass shootings, and over 3,500 lives have been taken due to acts of gun violence. This is a tragic and uniquely American epidemic – so Kim is working to ensure no more lives are lost.
Last year, Kim and her Democratic colleagues in Congress passed the first meaningful gun safety legislation in three decades. It was a huge step forward, but they knew it wasn't enough to end the violence in our communities. That's why Democrats in Congress introduced more gun safety legislation this year – including a bill to close loopholes that allow firearms to be purchased without background checks.
Kim is fighting to protect our communities from gun violence, but she wants to know you have her back.

As a mom, a pediatrician, and a member of Congress, Kim knows we need common sense legislation that keeps our communities safe from gun violence. This includes universal background checks for gun ownership, federal red flag laws to keep guns out of the hands of people perceived to be a danger to others, and policies to ensure that children cannot get access to firearms.
The health and safety of our communities will always be a top priority for Kim. That's why she's working to pass gun safety legislation to save lives, but she wants to know if you're with her in this important fight.
Add your name now to call on Congress to pass common-sense gun safety legislation now.
