And other events, like the next climate action meeting on Feb 8

Dear John -

Just announced!

We have a special new speaker joining Wednesday's panel at Busboys & Poets. Alongside three prominent journalists is Dr. Jessica Moerman ([link removed]) with the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Dr. Moerman will play a balancing perspective to the journalists in the discussion of how climate science should be covered.

Join us Wednesday, January 29 for the event "Read All About It - Climate Reporting and Sifting Through Bad Science ([link removed]) ".

With such an extraordinary amount of information bombarding us every day, it can be hard to choose reliable, evidence based news sources when it comes to climate change reporting. Similarly, mountains of data can be hard to distill down to a few key findings for the general public. Reporters can face harassment and intimidation for probing the most egregious climate offenders, and stories that take months of hard work to research and write can be trampled over in the blink of an eye by soundbites, scandals and clickbait. How do we, as readers, determine what constitutes good, honest climate journalism, and how do hard-working climate reporters combat the opaqueness of their subjects?

After the event, the Sunrise Movement invites you to stay for film screenings and discussion about the Green New Deal from 8:00-8:45.

This performance includes audience participation and a post-show artist talk-back."
