MCRGO Late Winter Outdoor Shows
The Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners will return to Outdoorama at Novi and the Ultimate Sport Show at Grand Rapids in 2020. These two shows are the largest late winter outdoor events in the state with tens of thousands of people attending. Volunteers will help staff MCRGO's booth and explain the organization's mission, recruit new members, answer questions about responsible gun ownership and carry outside the home as well as provide legislative updates on current proposals affecting firearms law. Outdoorama will be held from February 27 to March 1. The Ultimate Sport Show will take place from March 19 to March 22. Stop by MCRGO's booth to take advantage of our event-special $20 annual membership renewal rate (cash or check).
MCRGO is still in need of volunteers to fill shifts at the outdoor shows, particularly Outdoorama at Novi. Volunteers will receive a one year MCRGO membership for each shift worked. Volunteers will also be reimbursed parking costs. Each shift is 2-3 hours. Volunteers must be current members of MCRGO.
Volunteers at the booth interact with the general public discussing MCRGO's mission, current firearms policy and politics, selling MCRGO memberships and merchandise, and distributing MCRGO promotional items. Two volunteers on each shift allow the volunteers to take turns exploring the show.
