New Jersey has taken another step toward rehabilitation, not punishment, by
eliminating fines in the juvenile judicial system
.
Inspired by the shameful way Toys R Us treated their employees, New Jersey has now become the first state in the nation with
mandatory severance for workers who are let go in a mass layoff
.
