Hello John,
National Mapping of Youth Arts Provision – Are You On The Map?
The National Youth Arts Programme with University College Cork is undertaking a National Mapping of Youth Arts Provision. This will provide data and evidence on young people’s engagement with the arts in youth work settings across the country. This is an important opportunity to contribute the work of your organisation to a national picture. Alongside the research, an online map of practice will be developed to showcase the work of organisations.
Who can take part?
Youth workers, youth arts practitioners, youth work organisations, youth ensembles and anyone participating in youth arts in youth work settings, this is your opportunity to make sure your work is counted in the first ever mapping of arts in youth work settings.
Why participate?
- Help us capture an accurate picture of youth arts in youth work settings nationally.
- Profile your work.
- Support policy recommendations for more and better youth arts provision.
- Be in with a chance to win one of ten €250.00 mini arts grants to pay for some artist input or equipment for your group. (All participating organisations will be entered into draw).
Arming you with the tools and information to make the case for more of the great work you are already carrying out
Your participation will help create an accurate picture of youth arts practice in youth work settings, increase recognition of arts in youth work and support policy recommendations to make it sustainable. All participants will be entered into a draw for a number of mini grants to be used by the organisation to engage an artist on a small project or buy a piece of equipment. A conference to launch the research, curated by young people and spotlighting their contribution to youth arts policy in Ireland will be held in late April.
Don’t miss out!
We know you’re busy, but please do make sure your work is on the map by inputting your information on the link below. Here, you can also read more about the project. PS: It's the 'submissions' tab you need when you're ready to input.
