Just after announcing my run for Senate, I stopped by Pod Save America to discuss my campaign, housing, our democracy, The Big Lebowski (of course), and more.

During our conversation, host Jon Favreau asked what keeps me up at night.

I listed my concerns about foreign powers — but then I said what I’ve said all along: The greatest threat to our democracy does not come from outside, but from within.

That’s why it’s so important we never allow another person like Trump (or his imitators like DeSantis) to wreak havoc on our republic, and it’s why I’m running for Senate: We must have leaders in the Senate committed to protecting our rights and freedoms, and our democracy, building it back stronger, and holding accountable those who would tear it down.

I know that both our economy and our democracy are at risk, and we must fight back. I’ve been at the center of that fight for years, and I’m not about to back down now.
