Yesterday the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters hosted a rally at the Minnesota Capitol to advocate for the passage of the Minnesota State Boundary Waters Permanent Protection bill, featuring climate activist & polar explorer Will Steger. Over one hundred citizens, legislators, and advocates from all areas of the state gathered at the Minnesota Capitol and called on Minnesota’s elected officials to protect the Boundary Waters from the pernicious threat of proposed sulfide-ore copper mining. Our 2023 Round 2 mini-grants cycle is officially open! In 2021 we launched a small grants program to partner with and support individuals and groups who are often excluded from or face barriers to outdoor recreation and advocacy. Grant amounts range between $1,000-$3,000. You can read about our past grantees and the mission behind the grants cycle here, and find the application here. The deadline for this round is May 1, 2023.
