Folks, I wanted to follow up on yesterday's email from my team.

When we had the House in 2018 and 2020, our first order of business, literally our first, was to pass H.R. 1 – the For the People Act.

This bill would have done a number of things to improve election security, modernize our elections, and increase access to the polls for all people, and yet…

The powers that be in the Senate, in Washington, and in GOP cloak rooms killed our bill. Not because it was bad policy or because of some substantive reason, but because it challenged their power.

Our bill would have FINALLY made critical changes to election finance laws, taking the power to decide elections out of the hands of the mega-rich, Wall Street, corporate America, and hand it right back where it belongs – to the people.

But I’m not giving up on the For the People Act or the transformative change it promises to deliver – you can’t either, friend.

And as my team mentioned yesterday, the only tool we have to fight back now that we’re in the minority, is grassroots activists like you, friend. Without you, we have no chance to take back the House and deliver on our bold agenda.
