Join us this April for the first Storytelling Through Media workshop series. This specific workshop day will help us to uplift, support, and create effective media communication. 

Telling diverse and inclusive stories for social change that center marginalized communities. Building and understanding requires that we show the complex ways our indigenous communities experience systems of inequality such as land and body violence.
Workshop Objectives

Participants will...
  1. Build on their existing coping and healing skillset
  2. Receive a short land & body violence awareness presentation 
  3. Learn the 6 elements of writing a press release
  4. Recieve a presentation from a New Mexico based reporter
  5. Participate in Q & A with New Mexico based reporter
Intended Audience: Families directly impacted by the MMIWR crisis, family members who have taken on the responsibilities of direct media communication, adovactes of violence against our Indigenous relatives, councelors, law enforcement, tribal leaders, and case managers.
Grounding gift box: As a token of completion all participants will recieve a grounding gift box to be mailed out. When registering for this workshop, please provide an up to date mailing address.
