John, did you
know that the Pentagon hasn't passed a single independent audit in years?
Last year, Congress passed a record $858 billion defense budget. While the
Pentagon continues to receive bloated budgets, there are millions of
working people across the country who are struggling just to afford their
basic needs.
This never-ending cycle of increased funding without real accountability
is unacceptable and unnecessary. A recent study from the Congressional
Budget Office revealed that the Pentagon could cut the defense budget by
$100 billion per year without compromising our national security There is
simply no reason for taxpayers to continue to shoulder the burden of
funding this wasteful budget.
That's why our progressive movement is pushing to cut our bloated defense
budget down to size and prioritize our people over profit-hungry military
contractors. [ [link removed] ]If you agree with me, will you add your name today to
reduce the Pentagon's wasteful spending?

Cutting the practically endless defense budget would allow us to divert
potentially billions of dollars to help working people and make vital
investments in health and childcare, education, affordable housing,
combating the climate crisis, and much more.
We cannot allow this bloated Pentagon budget — and government handouts to
private defense contractors — to come before delivering for the people. We
all deserve better.

not profit-hungry defense contractors. Will you add your name today?
