If you’ve been reading these emails (thanks by the way!), you know that last month we worked with California State Senator Carolyn Menjivar to introduce SB 286 to make IDs free for all veterans in the state. We worked on this because we know, through our 501c3 work getting IDs on the ground across the country, that many, many veterans do not have the ID they need for jobs, housing, and all of the benefits that they deserve and sacrificed for. We are thrilled about this bill and yesterday CBS LA aired a segment about the work we are doing with veterans so I thought I’d share.
