Friends, I officially have a new opponent in my upcoming re-election - an extreme candidate who idolizes Donald Trump and regularly sows hate and misinformation about everything from climate change to marriage equality.

You might read that and think it’s a scary prospect - and you’re not wrong. But look, I care about my constituents and our district, and I’m ready to put my track record up against anyone’s to earn another term (and to show why we really cannot stand by and let extremists govern this district or this country.).

And here’s the incredible silver lining - when we reached out last week and asked folks to step up and say they’re ready to fight for my re-election, this team came through big time.

Thank you SO MUCH for standing with me. Whether you signed our petition saying you’re all in for my re-election, donated any amount to support my campaign, or simply kept reading up until this point - thanks.

I have to say, having a supportive network like this one is the email equivalent of a hug and glass of wine after a long day - and I’m so grateful. Between now and November 2024, there are going to be a lot of critical moments (just like this one!) where we ask you to step up and support however you can, and knowing I can count on you means the world to me.
