John,
Last week, President Biden released his budget and once again demonstrated his commitment to promoting the interests of the middle class, protecting our national security, and ensuring the economy works for all Americans.
Among many, here are just a few priorities the budget outlines:
Lowering costs for American families – President Biden's budget would restore the Child Tax Credit, lower housing costs, lower home energy and heating costs, and ensure prescription drugs are affordable.
Strengthening Medicare and expanding access to high-quality healthcare – President Biden's budget would extend the life of Medicare by at least 25 years, ensuring Americans can continue enjoying its benefits well into the future without making cuts to the program.
Investing in the foundations of our economic strength – President Biden's budget would continue to boost American manufacturing and invest in innovation as well as the wellbeing of our workforce. This is critical to protecting our global position of leadership.
Taking bold action to combat the climate crisis – By allocating $4.5 million into clean energy jobs, the president’s budget will not only help protect our planet, but it will also expand our workforce.
We have a lot of work ahead of us to enhance America’s global economic competitiveness, support our allies, strengthen health security, and address the nation's most pressing needs. These funds are critical to moving our country toward the future, and we can't afford to fall short on these investments.
President Biden's budget will lower costs, protect Medicare, and combat climate change. Join me in supporting the passage of these crucial investments today >> [link removed]
