Join Game and Parks in virtual discussion on fisheries in March
Join Nebraska Game and Parks in a virtual discussion on fisheries management during meetings March 20-23.
These four regional public informational sessions ? one for each Game and Parks district ? will provide local updates on the fishing outlook and special projects in respective areas. The informal, interactive gatherings will provide a chance for questions, dialogue and feedback.

Commissioners approve 2023-2024 waterfowl recommendations
Nebraska Game and Parks approved changes to 2023-2024 waterfowl hunting seasons at its March 14 meeting in Kearney.
For the 2023-2024 seasons, the Zone 3 and Zone 4 duck seasons will open a week later than last year with Youth Hunt dates the weekend prior. Other season dates are calendar date adjustments.

Archery turkey season opens March 25
Are you ready? Another spring of turkey hunting kicks off March 25, with the opener of archery turkey season. Be sure you have your permits in hand and get ready for a great season.?Remember that spring youth shotgun season begins April 8, and spring shotgun season on April 15.

Improvements made at many south-central parks
Visitors to Nebraska?s south-central state parks will notice several improvements this year. Projects completed in 2022 or to be finished in 2023 will appeal to an array of park users. They include campsite upgrades, shower house installation, a new archery range and more.
