The House of Representatives has passed the Voting Rights Advancement Act, which restores the power of the Voting Rights Act. Now, it's in the Senate.

This month, the New Jersey General Assembly took big steps to expand the right to vote, passing two bills allowing online voter registration, and ending prison-based gerrymandering.

But after the Supreme Court voted to gut the Voting Rights Act in 2013, Republican-controlled states took a different path. They’re suppressing the vote through mass voter purges, polling place closures, and burdensome voter ID laws.

Arati Kreibich is running for Congress to stop voter suppression. Passing the Voting Rights Advancement Act will let the Department of Justice stop new voter suppression laws before they take effect.

Stand with Arati. Sign the petition: protect the right to vote nationwide. Tell the Senate: restore the Voting Rights Act!

Thanks for standing up.
