John, I can’t believe this.

Ohio has one of the most restrictive abortion bans in the country, and now the GOP is attempting to take it to another level. After President Biden and the FDA moved to approve the distribution of safe and legal abortion pills nationwide, the GOP mounted their counterattack.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is leading a coalition of anti-choice states to pressure pharmacies against stocking legal abortion medications. Worse, big pharmacies like Walgreens have already folded under the GOP’s pressure and will now not distribute abortion pills in Ohio and other states.

The GOP's radical anti-abortion laws are not only a threat to public health but also strip women of their fundamental right to personal healthcare choices. We cannot sit idly by while Republicans continue to use their power to advance their assault on abortion rights.

We fought for these rights, but the only way to secure them is for a Democratic Congress to enact federal abortion protections that take the power away from radical GOP state legislators.
