A MESSAGE FROM OUR NONPROFIT PARTNER,
TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE FOUNDATION (TPWF)

Texas is blessed with a diversity of wildlife, waters and iconic landscapes that are the heart and soul of our natural heritage. Which is why since 1991, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) has invested more than $235 million to protect and conserve our state?s wild things and wild places.
It?s also why El Paso native Xochitl Rodriguez, an artist deeply rooted in the Franklin Mountains desert landscape that she treasures, is proud to share her passion for her home ground as a "We Will Not Be Tamed "ambassador for TPWF. "We Will Not Be Tamed" calls us to appreciate the wildness of Texas, the vastness of our Texas spirit, and why we should be inspired to conserve it.?
Xochitl?s life is driven by family, philanthropy, and a relentless desire to show her daughter just how big and breathtaking the world can be. From the time her daughter Calista was just a few months old, Xochitl has shared her passion for the world around her.
A visit to the Big Bend region of Texas with a group of friends introduced both mother and daughter to a new wild adventure: paddling the Rio Grande. According to Xochitl, ?I?ll never forget one specific stunning moment on the river when the moon was peeking over a canyon, the sky was super pink and the river and the canoe was pointing to the moon. Calista looked back at me and said, ?I can?t believe the world is even bigger than it was yesterday.??
For more than 30 years, TPWF has played a vital role in conserving our state?s wildlife, habitat and natural resources thanks to partnership efforts led in part by ambassadors like Xochitl Rodriguez and supporters like you [ [link removed] ].
From conserving our waters and native species to stewarding our irreplaceable lands, nurturing future conservation leaders and supporting Texas Game Wardens, TPWF funds high-impact, meaningful projects to ensure future generations can enjoy the wild things and wild places of Texas.?
And TPWF members [ [link removed] ] are important partners in supporting on-the-ground efforts to conserve our natural heritage.
TPWF hopes you will consider joining Xochitl in becoming a member today [ [link removed] ]. Together, we can ensure the vitality of our lands, waters and wildlife for the benefit of all Texans today and in the future.
