February brought an unexpected decrease in wholesale prices, with the Labor Department's producer price index falling 0.1% month over month and posting a 4.6% year-over-year gain, both below expectations. Core producer prices increased 0.2% from the prior month and 4.4% annually.

California lawmakers are considering a measure that requires human drivers to be inside autonomous trucks while they are on the road. The bipartisan measure was introduced after the state's Department of Motor Vehicles announced it was developing regulations for companies to test driverless 18-wheelers and other vehicles weighing over 10,001 pounds.
