📢 I’ll cut to the chase: this Saturday, March 18th, CODEPINK and friends from 200+ organizations will be taking to the streets nationwide to demand negotiations in Ukraine, and we need your help. 

It’s time to make our demands more visible than ever – last week for International Women’s Day, we raised our voices for peace in the public sphere by doing a huge banner drop over the Chicago River, creating a human peace sign in Congress, and more. Now, you can help continue our campaign for peace by joining us in the streets.

👉 If you are on the east coast, we hope you can join us for our biggest rally in Washington, DC where we will hear riveting messages of peace from our very own Medea Benjamin as well as Noam Chomsky, Claudia De La Cruz, Abby Martin, Jacqueline Luqman, and more! 

👉 If you can’t make it to our massive demonstration in DC, join us online or at one of our 19 sister rallies! Amplify our ceasefire messages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. 

Let’s speak the truth: the real goal of arming Ukrainian forces has nothing to do with the interests of the Ukrainian, Russian, or American people. The US Secretary General himself has stated that the true aim is to “weaken Russia,” even at the risk of a catastrophic nuclear war that could end life on Earth.

We, with our partners, have organized a big tent for these actions. Our demands address Ukraine and people harmed by US imperialism all over the world:

✌️Peace in Ukraine – Negotiations not escalation!

✌️Fund people’s needs, not the war machine!

✌️No war with China!

The Not-So-Winding Road from Iraq to Ukraine, our co-founder Medea Benjamin writes about the shameful anniversary that is arriving in just a few days: 20 years since the illegal US invasion of Iraq. 

Medea writes, "...most of the world has seen through the lies and hypocrisy of U.S. foreign policy, and the United States is finally reaping the result of its actions in the refusal of the Global South to keep dancing to the tune of the American pied piper." 

Two decades later, here we are, rallying around the country working to stop yet another terrible and senseless war.
