Hi John,
In my new role as Chair of the DCCC, my priority is winning back our Democratic majority. And as we inch closer to 2024, I'm taking some time to reflect back on what got me here.
I launched my campaign in 2012 in a purple district on the heels of redistricting, with an overwhelming belief that regardless of how the district map is drawn, fighting for working families isn't just a winning strategy, it's the right thing to do .
So, from Granite Falls …
To the Kla Ha Ya Days Parade …
And finally to reaching as many voters as possible in our last push on Election Day …
We made history with this headline: The Seattle Times - DelBene beats Koster in race for US House. Dems hold state's most competitive district.
And at our election night party, I reiterated what I've always believed: "For me this campaign always has been about standing up for working families and the middle class. Voters want someone who's going to focus on results rather than rhetoric."
I think back on those words now – after more than 10 years in Congress – and while much has changed, my commitment to our communities has and will always remain the same.
So whether you were with me back in 2012, or just signed up for our email list last week, or anywhere in between – I hope I can count on your support now to keep up the fight for our workers, children, and families. I’ll leave a personal donation link here: [link removed]
Thank you for being part of this fight.
– Suzan
