, first... Texas Republicans banned books, then abortion. Now they're outlawing drag shows and taking over local school districts. 🤬

I've said it over and over again: What happens in Texas changes America.
Previous laws passed at the Texas Capitol have resulted in copycat bills across the country banning books, abortion, restricting voting rights, and more.
Last Friday was the deadline for Texas legislators to file bills. And here's a little of what's on the Republican wish list:
Bounty hunters for drag shows
Empowering law enforcement officers to detain any brown child they suspect of not being American
Restricting progressive cities and counties from governing on their own without Republican intervention
Republican's aren't holding back. They're brazen as heck.
Earlier today, without notice.... MAGA Governor Greg Abbott's administration announced that they're taking over the state's largest public school system.
There is little transparency in the process of Abbott's administration taking over the nation's 8th largest public school system. Locally elected school board members that just took office will become powerless. Houston ISD's students are mostly black-and-brown minority students.
Abbott's takeover of Houston public schools is now unnecessary chaos for parents, students, and teachers who have no idea what's going on.
Meanwhile, Texas Republicans are pushing for a voucher system that would decimate the nation's 8th largest public school system: Houston ISD.
Abbott won't stop with Houston. Abbott and his cronies are still attacking Austin and San Antonio as "sanctuary cities" he falsely claims are 'poorly run by liberals'.
