When I ran for Congress in 2018, I wanted to do things differently. I knew
that to get things done, I couldn’t be tied down to corporate special interests
and their dark money checks, unlike my Republican opponent David Young.
That’s why I’m proud to receive an A rating from End Citizens United, a group
whose mission is to defeat the influence dark money and special interest groups
have on our elections.

Here’s the thing though -- My opponent, David Young, plays by a different set
of rules. At any moment, he can give his big corporate special interest buddies
a call and have a big check sitting on his desk by the end of the day to keep
his campaign in fighting shape.
My campaign doesn’t do that. I’m focused on building the strength of our
grassroots, small-dollar community. We need to be able to match these
big-dollar donors at any time, and that’s why I count on your support.
