This is big, John: the National Republican Congressional Committee – NRCC – is officially running attack ads against me.

That’s right: even in March of a non-election year, Republicans are working to unseat me. And if they’re already preparing for next year’s election, we have to be ready, too. That’s why I’m asking you today to invest $10 or whatever you can spare in my re-election campaign.

As I reach out to voters and supporters across Michigan and the country, I keep hearing the same thing: folks telling me that they don’t usually get involved in campaigns this early in the cycle, which I completely understand!

But the reality is that Republicans are already campaigning against me – and in a lot of ways, that means we’re already falling behind. If we’re going to keep this seat BLUE and take back the House Majority, we need to catch up to their fundraising right away.

Anything you can chip in today will make a real difference in my ability to defend myself against the Republican attacks that are already coming my way. Can I count on your support?
