We’ve already seen the incredible impact this people-powered team has when we come together: Through our work and the work of Georgia voting rights activists, we killed a major anti-voting bill last week. But we still need to stop bills that would undermine election administration, threaten criminal justice reform, and ban trans youth from accessing vital health care. This latest round of attacks on our elections and the LGBTQ+ community is part of a national trend of extremist politicians suppressing the voices of voters and targeting marginalized communities. We cannot and will not let this stand. 

It’s clear that extremist lawmakers in Georgia are using the same playbook as they did in recent years, with the passage of SB 202, a voter suppression law, and HB 1084, a law banning transgender students from competing on sports teams. 

For them, they are simply picking up where they left off. For us, it means coming together and fighting back against yet more attacks on fundamental freedoms.
