Powered by Center for Jobs and the Economy data, the Dashboard is designed to provide businesses, policymakers, and residents with dynamic and interactive data about the county’s economic health, including its competitiveness with other counties in the state. “We are delighted to partner with Golden Valley Bank to provide this unique tool to Butte County businesses, residents, and policymakers. Butte County plays an integral role in the state’s overall economic health. The Dashboard helps quantify the economic impact of the region, including the strength of its agriculture sector, its overall lower cost of living, and the key economic drivers that are providing well-paying jobs and economic security to Butte County residents,” said Brooke Armour, president of the Center for Jobs and the Economy. The Dashboard includes key economic indicators, including employment, education, and cost-of-living data, and a closer look at the key industries that drive the Butte County economy—all compared to both the previous month (or previously available data) and the other 57 counties in California. Data is updated in real-time, ensuring users get the most up-to-date data. The Dashboard also links back to the Center for Jobs and the Economy, where users can view thousands of economic data points, comparing regions, legislative districts, counties, and states. “As a key partner with the business community and our customers, Golden Valley Bank is pleased to provide this invaluable tool to Butte County residents and policymakers,” continued Gentry Power, Golden Valley Bank’s Vice President Director, Business Development and Marketing. “For years we have worked to provide data to the business community on the economic health of the region, but our partnership with the Center for Jobs has allowed us to create a dynamic, interactive, and easy-to-understand Dashboard that tells the economic story of Butte County. Together with our partners in the business community, we look forward to using the data and economic trends outlined on the Dashboard to continue to grow and invest in our region and residents.” In addition to the Butte County Dashboard, the Center for Jobs has partnered with the Shasta County Economic Development Corporation to create a similar Dashboard. Previously, the Center has worked with economic leaders in San Luis Obispo County, as well as various regional and statewide industry advocacy groups, to provide timely and relevant data and analysis.
