͏‌Brian Schatz - for Hawaii [[link removed]]
The new Congress is in session, and I’m continuing our work -- especially as I return to my positions as Chair of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and the Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies.
I’ll also continue my position as Chief Deputy Whip in Democratic Senate leadership as well as take on a new role as Deputy Conference Secretary.
All of these roles together will give me the opportunity to shape our priorities in Congress, set legislative agendas, and tackle the issues that are important to people in Hawaii and across the country.
I’m excited to build on our achievements from last Congress, like improving infrastructure; expanding access to affordable health care, education, and housing; and strengthening clean-energy programs and addressing climate change.
We’re already hard at work, and I’m so grateful to everyone who put me in the position to do this job I love.
