Are you or someone you know currently in elected office or running for office?

NNU - Medicare for All!

This may be a bit of a long shot, but we need to ask:

Are you or someone you know currently in elected office? Or, are you or anyone you know running for a state or local position? It could be city council, mayor, county supervisor, school board, state legislature, and beyond.

We’re asking because if the answer is yes, we’re hoping you can take a crucial step to help build the Medicare for All movement this year.

  1. If you’re currently in office or a candidate running for office, will you take our Patients Over Profits pledge to reject campaign contributions from the executives, lobbyists, and PACs affiliated with the corporate health care industry? You can read more about it at the link above.

  2. If not, do you know any candidates or elected officials? If yes, will you please send this email asking them to sign the Patients Over Profits pledge?

Patients Over Profits Pledge

We’re thrilled to share that 72 candidates and elected officials have already taken the pledge! 🥳 But we need to pick up our pace of signers to keep making progress.

We know that getting corporate money out of politics is key to passing Medicare for All. For decades, corporate lobbying groups have tried to stop health care reform and buy off our politicians with millions of dollars in campaign contributions and lobbying.

But we can build real power for our movement by growing the number of candidates and elected officials who pledge to reject dirty money from the corporate health care industry.

Please sign the pledge if you’re a candidate or elected official, and/or please send this email to anyone you know who’s running or in office asking them to sign on.

Thank you for helping us get corporate health care money out of politics.

In solidarity,
