Donald Trump is clearly afraid of what's going to happen in just over a week in Iowa.

As reported by ABC News and others, the Trump team is working hard to persuade voters to come out on caucus night in a push that includes "a presidential rally, GOP-led training sessions and a new video featuring the president's daughter-in-law."

For a wannabe strongman president in no danger of losing in his own party's primary, this would seem like a massive waste of time. Real winners don't run up the score, and sitting presidents have more important things to do, right?

But Donald Trump isn't a real winner, he's not about to crush anyone in the primary, and he knows it.

That's why his team is putting in so much effort here — not a show of force, but desperation. He's in trouble and time is running out.
