John,
In recognition of Tina’s first two months in office, we wanted to share a list of 60 highlights from her first 60 days in office. Here’s a sample of some of our favorites:
- Declared a homelessness state of emergency on day one in office
- Introduced her first bills as Governor
- Moved to Salem with First Lady Aimee Kotek Wilson and their dogs Teddy and Rudy
- Released her recommended budget, with a mission-focused approach to building more housing and reducing homelessness, improving access to mental health and addiction services, and improving outcomes in early literacy and K-12 schools
- Held her first cabinet meeting
- Traveled to Washington, D.C. and met one-on-one with U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, and U.S. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona
- Met with members of the legislature, mayors, and other governors to find new ways to work together
- Uplifted small businesses, local organizations, and community events
- …. and so much more!
Tina hit the ground running on day one to tackle the homelessness crisis, improve mental health and addiction services, and uplift educational outcomes throughout Oregon. In her first 60 days, Tina has laid the groundwork to do all this and more throughout her term.
We know that we can do more when we work together. Tina has plans for all the days of her term yet to come, but she’ll be more successful with you by her side. That’s why we’re asking:
Can you pitch in any amount today to support Tina ahead of our monthly deadline and encourage her to keep fighting for Oregonians’ top priorities?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
More to come - let’s keep going!
Thanks,
Team Tina
