The truth is, I don't want to ask for too much, Peter.
But as you may know, we’re half way through the month of March, and with the end of the month comes an important fundraising benchmark for our campaign: the first FEC filing deadline of the year. That’s when our fundraising totals since the start of 2023 will be made public for all to see.
We set an ambitious goal for March because this is our best chance to prove that our campaign is stronger than ever. But now that we’re at the mid-month mark, it’s clear that we’re dragging behind. So, if it’s not too much to ask, I’m hoping you can make a $5 contribution today, Peter.
If everyone reading this chipped in today, we could make it clear when those fundraising totals go public that we are building a real grassroots campaign that is growing every day. We would continue into 2023 with momentum on our side.
And the thing is, it’s not so much about how much money we raise, but rather how many people make a contribution. Even a contribution of just $5 helps us show the size and strength of our team — a team that works day in and day out for the people of Illinois and the values we believe in.
This really is the one thing I need to ask of you right now. So please:
Can you make a contribution of $5, or anything you can afford, to help us get back on track and meet our goal before our first FEC deadline of 2023?

I know we can count on your help as we have so many times in the past.
