Friend --

In just a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a donation before our end-of-month fundraising deadline. My race is heating up, so I hope you'll let me explain why this request is so important.

For the first time in months, David Valadao has issued a direct attack against me in the press. It's the type of stuff you'd expect to see. Light on substance, but high on partisan pandering by trying to associate me with the GOP's new villain -- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Here's the truth, David Valadao is going to say whatever he can to shift the conversation away from his vote to strip health insurance from tens of thousands of families in our district.

Now that Valadao is on the attack, it's our job to remind voters why we rejected him in the first place. That's going to take resources, and it's why I need to ask:

Can you chip in $3 to help us fight back? Unlike Valadao, I'm not taking any corporate PAC money because I refuse to take marching orders from special interests.

Let's not forget that Valadao aligned with Trump on 99% of the legislation he supported in Congress -- on issues like climate change, taxes, and women's reproductive rights. That will not change if he's re-elected -- especially with all the corporate PAC money he's already taken.

Rather than banking on financial support from corporate PACs, I'm asking individual donors to keep our progress going -- on prescription drug prices, clean water access, and protecting farm workers from deportation.

If you're with me, chip in $3 before our end-of-month deadline to help counter these attacks and keep CA-21 blue.

Thanks in advance,

TJ Cox
