** We're off and rolling in Wisconsin

Hello from very very cold and snowy Wisconsin! I'm here with our awesome Deputy ED, Gina Miles, building an amazing team of field staff to spend the next ten months getting as many IDs as we can before the election!
After fielding a ton of resumes and interviews we chose four really incredible community organizers, activists, moms, students, and generally fantastic humans. Nyla, Aminah, Sumayyah, and Jacob are all from Milwaukee and know it well. They have all been working in the community for many years and are perfectly positioned to get the program up and running in record time. With their help, we'll be getting IDs, recruiting and training volunteers, and, this fall, getting our clients to the polls.
Wisconsin had over 300,000 REGISTERED voters who do not have ID and 200,000 voters were purged from the rolls just this month. They also have one of the most strict voter ID laws in the country. So we're here just in time to get some serious work done before November.
