Virginia Republicans Push Extreme MAGA Agenda During Legislative Session

Virginia Republicans spent the 2023 legislative session proposing some of the most extreme legislation the commonwealth has seen in modern times:
❌ Blocked a repeal of the state's ban on same-sex marriage;
❌ Passed suppressive voter ID laws including a ban on ballot drop boxes (eliminating mail voting and banning same-day voter registration);
❌ Introduced bills with some of the most extreme restrictions on abortion in the country.
The good news? Senate Democrats were able to block all of these measures before they made it to the governor's desk.
The even better news: Virginia is holding legislative elections this year, and we're playing to win. We've already endorsed 10 diverse young progressives in Virginia, and there are more on the way.
