1) Leaked Memo Proves Biden Admin Intended to Ban Gas Stoves -– And They Lied About It
Remember when the Biden White House attacked The Committee to Unleash Prosperity and other groups liked ours for reporting on their looney idea of banning gas stoves? "There go those right-wing conspiracy theorists," was the spin from the Biden press office and a compliant media.
The supposed “newspaper of record” – The New York Times – scoffed at CTUP and others with an article entitled:
And then there was this charming article from Politico:
Ahem, actually, yes, they WERE proposing a ban. And we have come across a leaked copy of the memo from Biden Consumer Product Safety Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr., which proves it. The memo, which the Biden admin tried to keep top secret, concludes:
That sounds awfully definitive to us. So, yes, the wacko greens who populate the Biden Administration really did lie. But now that the lie has been exposed, there has been no apology from the Biden press office, Richard Trumka, or the New York Times, and no retraction from Politico.
Question: do any of these people EVER tell the truth?
2) Speaking of Wacky Climate Change Policies – How About Rationing Anesthesia To Save The Planet?
Here is an excerpt from an investigative piece by environmental watch dog Greg Walcher who has exposed a creepy idea gaining steam to limit the use of anesthesia in order to reduce greenhouse gasses:
When we have to do something unpleasant, the common expression is “bite the bullet.” The phrase originated on Civil War battlefields when amputations often had to be done without anesthetics. To distract the patient from excruciating pain, he would be given a lead bullet to bite down on. Sticks or leather were common, too, but bullets were preferred because they were plentiful and because lead’s malleability prevented breaking patients’ teeth.

Some medical experts are suggesting we return to that 19th Century torture, by reducing the modern use of anesthesia during many surgeries. Why would any educated person suggest such a thing? Apparently, the gases used in anesthesia contribute to climate change.
Dr. Mohamed Fayed, a senior anesthesiologist at Detroit’s Henry Ford Hospital, explained a new study at the American Society of Anesthesiologists conference in Orlando. “Global warming is affecting our daily life and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions has become crucial….As anesthesiologists, we can contribute significantly to this cause by making little changes in our daily practice — such as lowering the flow of anesthetic gas — without affecting patient care.”
Few of us would have guessed that anesthesia would be the next target of climate activists, but Dr. Fayed cited a 2010 study, “One hour of surgical anesthesia is equivalent to driving as many as 470 miles” in terms of greenhouse gas emissions...
An article about this new study on the American Society of Anesthesiologists contained the headline: “Reducing anesthetics during surgery reduces greenhouse gases without affecting patient care, study shows.”
We have an idea: why don’t the climate change alarmists get in line first? How about a root canal without novocain or anesthesia? Go for it.
Normally we would write off ideas like this as the mindset of radical fringe groups, but that’s what we used to think about reparations, modern monetary theory, and bans on gas-engined cars.
3) NOW She Tells Us – Michigan’s Lockdown Queen Admits the Policy Didn’t “Make a Lot of Sense”
Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer, a fanatical lockdown governor and potential Democratic presidential candidate, still pretends her policies saved lives, but she told Chris Wallace of HBO this week:
“There were moments where, you know, we had to make some decisions that in retrospect don't make a lot of sense, right? If you went into the hardware store, you could go to the hardware store, but we didn't want people all congregating around the gardening supplies. It was February in Michigan, no one was planting anyway..."
(It was actually April - planting season - but Gretchen always has a problem getting her facts straight.)
At the behest of President Obama, in 2015 Oregon made its 17 community colleges tuition-free to high school graduates.
Eight years later, the program may be dismantled. The state’s Higher Education Coordinating Committee says it "has not led to lasting increases in enrollment, momentum, completion, or equity.” Only an additional one percent of students have found it made college more affordable. Meanwhile, taxpayers got caught picking up the tab.
Every day that goes by there’s more evidence of free-spending on woke policies at Silicon Valley Bank in the months ahead of its demise. Now we have evidence of similar behavior at the second bank failure - Signature. If the management had been more concerned with managing risk than producing cringe-inducing marketing videos, the bank might have survived.
See for yourself:
The author of the thread also shared this quote from a bank insider:
"The Management Team was basically like the show The Office. They'd waste money on things like producing parody videos."
