Hi John,

Right now, politicians in charge of the world's biggest economies are
deciding who’s going to run the World Bank.

Whoever is chosen will have a big say in tackling the most important
challenges facing our world. Here’s what we know: an approach stuck in the
past isn’t going to drive the progress we need.

After 80 years, the World Bank is in urgent need of an upgrade. A new
leader presents a window of opportunity to rethink how to deal with global
challenges like climate change and extreme poverty.
