Today is Equal Pay Day, John — which means women just finished earning what men earned last year for the same work.

Of course, that gap is even larger for women of color, women with disabilities, women who are undocumented, and so on. 

There is no real reason why women should be making less than men for equal work in the year 2023. We need our elected officials to address the gender pay gap with the urgency it deserves and take immediate action to close the gap.
