In precisely three weeks, Wisconsin voters will vote in two critical elections: One to determine the fate of our Supreme Court and create a liberal majority, and another to break Republicans’ supermajority in the State Senate. 

These elections are so important to the future of our state and the future of reproductive rights across the country! Here are just a few issues Wisconsin’s next Supreme Court could hear: 

  • The Supreme Court will decide access to legal abortion in Wisconsin. Following the overturn of Roe v. Wade, Gov. Tony Evers filed a lawsuit to overturn Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban, a case that’s widely expected to go before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. 
  • Redrawing our legislative maps – In 2022, the Supreme Court ruled 4-3 in favor of a legislative redistricting plan which gave Republicans an advantage. This new Supreme Court could hear a challenge to current maps if filed. This could help deconstruct the GOP’s hold on Madison! 
  • Rules for voting in the 2024 presidential election – The current conservative majority ruled that absentee drop boxes are illegal, and Republicans would like to make voting even HARDER. With a liberal majority, we could defend access to the ballot box for our seniors, disabled folks, students, and more. 

So please, I’m asking you to make a donation to both Judge Janet’s race to flip the Supreme Court as well as Jodi’s race in Senate District 32 to break the GOP supermajority in the State Senate. Together, we can turn the page in Wisconsin history!

With just three weeks left, these campaigns need our support to knock on doors, to get ads up on digital and radio, and to get any last-minute mailers designed. Both these races are attracting outside GOP money, and Democrats everywhere need to step up to support these critical races!

I can’t put it more bluntly – Wisconsin is the ONLY place where we have a chance to vote to defend abortion in 2023!!
