BREAKING NEWS: Biden approves $8 billion Willow oil drilling project in Alaska
FIGHT BACK ([link removed])
John,
President Biden just approved “Willow,” a massive oil drilling project in the Western Arctic Reserve in Alaska. This $8 billion project is projected to produce 600 million barrels of oil, and when that oil is burned, it will emit the equivalent of 66 coal fired power plants in terms of greenhouse gasses.
As the climate crisis rages on, new fossil fuel projects like these will only make the problem worse. We need to send a strong signal to this administration, elected officials, and candidates running for office that we must phase out fossil fuels before it’s too late.
The best way to send that signal is to make it clear that ending the era of fossil fuels is a winning strategy — the more we can support climate champions up and down the ballot this year, the more we can make fossil fuels a voting issue in years to come.
Will you contribute $10 today to help us support climate champions?

It is not too late to avoid the worst effects of irreversible climate change, but we need to act now.
We need to take immediate action and demand the end of fossil fuel use. Local elections play a crucial role in fighting back, and we need to elect climate champions at every level of government to stop new fossil fuel extraction and other infrastructure from being built.
