John,
Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate all of the achievements and contributions of women and girls. But it’s also a time to reflect on the progres still needed to establish true gender equality.
Women are too often underrepresented, overlooked, or not credited for their work in certain arenas — especially in the male-dominated STEM field. Here at the Innocence Project, we are lucky to have several inspiring, accomplished female scientists from all different backgrounds on our team.
In honor of this month, we’d like to take a moment to highlight a few of these incredible women with whom we are privileged to work. Read more about their powerful stories and the work they do at the Innocence Project, and then share this with your community online: [[link removed]]
Each of these women brings their unique perspective to our work and helps ensure that everything we do is rooted in science, facts, and research. We celebrate them today and every day.
Happy Women’s History Month!

The Innocence Project works to free the innocent, prevent wrongful convictions, and create fair, compassionate, and equitable systems of justice for everyone. Founded in 1992 by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, the organization is now an independent nonprofit. Our work is guided by science and grounded in antiracism.
