Team: Today marks Equal Pay Day — the day in the new year that a woman must work until in order to make the same amount of money that a white, non-Hispanic man earned on average during the last calendar year.

It’s hard to believe that in 2023, women working full-time, year-round are still paid on average only 84 cents for every dollar a man makes. And team — this metric only extends to white, non-Hispanic women. Unfortunately the disparity for women of color is far worse:

Black women are paid on average 64 cents for every $1 a man makes;
Native American women make 58 cents on average;
And Hispanic women make 54 cents compared to white, non-Hispanic men in the workforce.

We’re commemorating Equal Pay Day by joining the conversation and continuing our fight for fair wages nationwide. If you’re with us, will you rush a donation to help us win more campaigns to raise the minimum wage in states across the country? [[link removed]]

FIGHT FOR FAIR WAGES → [[link removed]]

So far, we’ve won ballot measure campaigns in 9 states to raise the minimum wage and give workers the pay raise they deserve. And team, it’s working. These 9 campaigns have put $22 billion into the hands of workers and narrowed the gender wage gap in these states to some of the lowest in the country, according to US Census data!

We’re dedicated to fueling ballot measure campaigns everywhere possible in our fight for economic fairness for all. And team, that means livable wages for everyone.

If you’re with us in that fight, will you join us this Equal Pay Day with a donation to help power our minimum wage campaigns and close the wage gap for good? [[link removed]]
