Who is our greatest enemy, John?



40 years ago that was an easy answer – the Soviet Union. In fact, 40 years
ago, President Ronald Reagan delivered his famous "Evil Empire" speech.



In the speech, he framed a CLEAR moral divide between the United States and
the Soviet Union. While he acknowledged the importance of a strong military,
President Reagan said,"The struggle now going on for the world will never be
decided by bombs or rockets, by armies or military might. The real crisis we
face today is a spiritual one; at root, it is a test of moral will and faith."

Both sides, Democrats and Republicans, are facing a moral crisis today. We are
becoming our own worst enemies.



It grieves me to see our politics so broken. Too many people blame their
fellow Americans for the woes of our country while making excuses for our true
enemies.
