Team — There have been several developments over the past week about potential challengers to Tammy Baldwin’s Senate seat, so we wanted to break it down for you:

FIRST: Rumors started circulating that Paul Ryan — yes, former Speaker of the House and Trump friend and foe — is considering a run for the U.S. Senate. He’s on a book tour trying to rewrite his record and separate himself from Donald Trump, but we all know what he really stands for.

THEN: We just learned that former Sheriff David Clarke Jr. is strongly considering running, too. In case you haven’t heard of him, here’s what you need to know: he supported Steve Bannon’s scam to “build the wall,” defended January 6 insurrectionists, and is so extreme that he was even banned from Fox News! No way we can let this guy represent Wisconsin.

NOW: We are just one day away from our final mid-month deadline before our first FEC fundraising deadline of the year. We’re a bit behind where we need to be, and with all these Republicans swarming to run for Senate, we can’t afford weak numbers in our report. That’s why we’re asking:
