The pandemic, an extraordinary election, an insurrection, tumult in Eastern Europe and geopolitical challenges throughout the world, and real economic and health challenges our own families have had to face here at home. It’s been more than any of us could have predicted, but together we press on. A new Congress has begun. I am eager to work with my colleagues — both Democrats and Republicans — to build a brighter future for the next generation of Americans. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to once again serve the 46th Congressional District in Washington, DC. A community I love, it’s a place I raised my children - my home. Under President Biden’s leadership, Congress had a productive couple of years by passing landmark legislation including the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the Inflation Reduction Act. These policies enabled our economy to remain the strongest in the world today, while investing in the people and technologies that will position us for success tomorrow. We’ve invested in tax credits for working parents trying to stay out of poverty and feed their kids. We’ve invested in clean fuels and technologies and supply chains to protect our planet and create new, well-paying, blue collar jobs on our own shores. help us stave off the worst consequences of climate change. And we finally reduced the cost of prescription drugs for seniors. The work we’ve done in Congress must continue. I cannot continue the work I do with out your voice, but I need to HEAR YOUR VOICE.
