Walgreens’ act of corporate cowardice comes after extremist Republican attorneys general in 21 states threatened lawsuits against pharmacies that dispense an abortion medication that is legal in all 50 states.
By folding to this pressure, Walgreens has failed its patients and tens of thousands of Americans who need their services. We cannot let this action go without notice. We must be a counterbalance and not let extremists bully companies into bending to their narrow worldview.

As Sen. Blumenthal said, this type of corporate cowardice is unconscionable and dangerous.
