 Dear Puget Sound recovery community,
We?re looking forward to gathering a big group to make the trip to Washington, D.C. for 2023 Puget Sound Day on the Hill (May 8-11). If you can join us, please click here to register!
Whether or not you?re planning on attending Puget Sound Day in the Hill in person, you can support our efforts by adding your name in support of robust, sustained federal investment for Puget Sound recovery. Use this Google form to sign to our letters outlining priority federal appropriations for next year. Please add your signature by Friday, March 24.
We will send these to appropriations committees in the House and Senate as they weigh FY24 investments and want the list of supporters to reflect the diversity of organizations and individuals working towards recovering Puget Sound. The text of the letters is available here.
Last year, Congress delivered some big wins for Puget Sound recovery, passing parts of the PUGET SOS Act and substantially increasing funding for recovery. Those goals were achieved in part thanks to the many advocates for Puget Sound who have shown up ? and spoken up ? at our Puget Sound Day on the Hill events over the last seven years. The 2023 event will be an opportunity to celebrate the culmination of that tireless work and emphasize that we must hold ground and prevent any whittling away of our hard-won progress.
Please reach out to Ahren Stroming, [email protected], with questions, ideas, or concerns.
Best,?
