Here’s what I’ve got to say about this development in the race: I know the people of our district - and I believe in each and every one of them. I know that our values of inclusion, fairness, and justice are sincerely held. And I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the extreme ideas and policies pushed by my opponent do NOT reflect our district.

But I won’t take a single thing for granted in this campaign. We’ve seen far too many extremists push their agendas straight into Congress to think that any one of us can rest on our laurels.
