Dear John,
At The Sentencing Project, we believe in justice for all. And I believe you do, too.
That’s why I hope you will contribute to our fight for justice in the criminal legal system with a generous gift today. We are funded by gifts from individuals like you, and our work is only advanced with your support.
It’s easy to make a gift today at https://sentproj.org/countmein.
As an ally, you know that injustice is indeed alive throughout our criminal legal system. Now, thanks to you and your commitment, we are building a powerful justice reform movement to counter it.
In 2022, we worked with state partners to fight for and win important reforms, including the passage of California’s Racial Justice Act for All, which allows courts to prohibit convictions that are influenced by the race, ethnicity, or national origin of the defendant.
In Massachusetts and Washington, we expanded ballot access for incarcerated voters.
And Indiana, Maryland, Tennessee, and Wyoming adopted policies committed to protecting justice-involved youth by raising the minimum age of detention and encouraging community-based rehabilitation instead of court involvement.
These measures will make a significant impact, but there is much more that needs to be done – and our work continues.
John, your help is needed for another successful year of progress. Will you make a contribution today?
We’re grateful to have you in our community and thank you for your commitment.
